In 2024, I celebrate my 25th year of residing and working in Thailand, marking a remarkable quarter-century journey. It's been an honour to have the opportunity to work across this beautiful country, from the southern shores of Phuket to Pai, right at the doorstep of the Golden Triangle in the north. Every moment has been thoroughly enjoyable.
For years, I've played a pivotal role in shaping Thailand's skyline, overseeing the creation of numerous stunning hotels and condominiums countrywide. My life has been a nomadic tapestry of experiences, hopping from one hotel to another, embracing the resort life, with memorable six-year chapters in both Phuket and Pattaya.
As a seasoned traveler who has traversed Thailand extensively using public transportation, I can offer invaluable advice on bookings, pickup points, and the most convenient routes to reach any destination within the country. My journeys have spanned a variety of modes, from planes, buses, and taxis to boats, including a unique narrow boat trip to Burma. While I initially steered clear of trains, I am now becoming acquainted with Bangkok's efficient skytrain and underground networks.
Throughout my travels, I've immersed myself in a myriad of cultural experiences and explored most of the popular tourist spots alongside my family. I'm eager to share my insights and reviews of these attractions, as well as seek out new ones that are on my to-visit list. However, Thai cuisine will not feature in my blogs, as I have largely bypassed it; instead, I can point you to the finest places for an English Breakfast.
